Rationale ... must I explain?

Searching for a colophon which expresses my mood these days, I chose Roman sculpture. There's plenty of it littering the soil of my ancestors. As I work a full week to pay the bills, I have no time to posture as a news blogger, and there are too many of them already. News blogging, I've decided, is akin to stuffing clippings into a sealed bottle and entrusting an hour's effort to the outgoing tide. I'll just focus on the occasional story, usually one that disturbs me on some level, or which seems to be passed over by the power press. If you've never been here, I can report that living in Vancouver is not for the faint of heart.
